First Field Trip since our move to SC

Fire Museum in Charleston, SC. It was a great to go on a field trip and meet some new homeschool families from the new group that I joined. Even met a family that lives in the same neighborhood we are building in. So exciting to know they are just 1 block away. The kids had a blast and so did I.

Yes you read right.. it was 79 degrees here on Jan 14th...so Jenni organized a CC Beach lunch playdate. It was so much fun and reminded me why I moved to the beach. They caught fish and crabs and even got in the ocean.. it was pretty cold though.

Painting like Giotto

In Classical we have been learning about some very famous artists. Today we tried to replicate one of Giotto's paintings. The kids thought it was neat that Giotto used dead bugs as paint colors. We just used water colors. Its amazing his paintings still exists. They had fun.

Angel Oak

This was an outing that we did as after school one day. We live near a cool place called Angel Oak. Which is an Oak tree believed to be between 900-1500 years old. It is beautiful. The kids wish you could climb all over but it has survived this long because you are not allowed. They had fun running around the tree and realizing how small they were compared to the tree. Stefan took me here when we were just dating.
