Angel Oak
This was an outing that we did as after school one day. We live near a cool place called Angel Oak. Which is an Oak tree believed to be between 900-1500 years old. It is beautiful. The kids wish you could climb all over but it has survived this long because you are not allowed. They had fun running around the tree and realizing how small they were compared to the tree. Stefan took me here when we were just dating.

Turkeys
Today we went on a walk with our dog and then gathered cool colored leaves and came home and made these cool turkey's. It was so simple. Just found different turkey bodies on the internet and then let the artist create. I liked how when Kenny placed his turkey body the stem from the leaves stuck out and made it look like feet. yes he meant to do that. lol

Art: Painting fall trees.
Today was such a great Fall day to create our Fall trees. I first saw this activity on Pinterest and thought it was a great idea. Then a fellow homeschool mom did it with her two kids here and it reminded me to put this on the to-do list. We did ours a little different and used the side of our hand and wrist area for the trunk of the tree and the palm print as the tree's branches and of course our finger prints as the leaves. Daniel and Sydney had a blast creating these. Both liked creating the falling leaves....

Fall Leaves-Painting
Another idea I saw on pinterest about painting fall leaves. I know that God has already painted them and how they turn colors are so beautiful, but we thought we would add some art work to them as well. Each week we will be adding more "leaves" to our tree. I love how these turned out. Daniel enjoyed making these. He said one has a dragon on it...another has a cross and one has the American flag.. can you find these?

Science Experiment #1-Lava Lamp
Well I had found this idea on Pinterest site a couple weeks ago and this past weekend we were watching some kids science show on TV and Daniel was in aww of making this, and begged and begged to do it. I had to get all the ingredients so we couldn't do it until today. So here are our results.
All you need is water, oil, food coloring. On the 2nd try we added alka seltzer for it to bubble. I think he was happy with the end product.
